The Midwest(Also listed as Mid-West on their website) Farmer’s Daughter Ale comes from Bat Creek Brewery. They enlisted the help of Crown Valley Brewing who gave this to us to try. It had a nice balance of hops, and was creamy on the palate. Quite surprising given the look of the beer. We both gave this one an 82! Can’t wait to try some more beer from Bat Creek!
Another tasting video we did. We should have some videos out in the next two weeks from our local travels. June 6th we’re doing a tailgate beer competition in St. Louis, so that should be pretty entertaining… at least for us haha!

In my home town if you shoot a basketball, but only hit the outside of the net it’s called a Polack Swish! I’ve traced it back to at least the early 1980’s, but that was on an old facebook group page. I doubt I’ll ever find it’s originator.

I’m actually stoked about the Yahoo purchase.
I highly doubt they’ll change much initially, and I’m hoping they bring in ad revenue. So what if every 20 posts on the blog roll is an add. I’d rather see an ad than not see Tumblr at all. Also, I’m hoping we can start having ads on our actual blog pages if we so choose. I get you can already, but they’ll delete your blog if they find out. This opens up a whole new realm of possibilities for the site.
