Daydream Nation

Kat Dennings doing Kat Dennings. I guess it’s better than Zoe Deschanel doing Zoe Deschanel.

Overly dramatic, but makes you think of different feelings.

Fairly predictable, but enough Shyamalaning for a non-Shyamalan film to keep it good.

I finally saw The Hunger Games… I like the story/acting, but don’t get why it was filmed in such a terrible manner. It’s like Cloverfield, The Syfy Channel, and Fight Club had a baby. I think Gary Ross and Tom Stern assumed that since it is a teen scifi that they could get away with being a bit crazy with the camera work. Take the same plot and setting with George Lucas/Steven Spielberg from the 70’s-80’s and ILM, and this could have been a masterpiece.

fakecriterions:

Guys. The Sun Theatre in Williamston. Their Indiegogo campaign only has hours left.

Help a small-town movie theater in Michigan stay open. They’re just over halfway to their goal and if even a percentage of you threw in ten bucks or so, it’d help.

It’s where I learned to love movies growing up. It’s a great theater. It’s been around for decades. It’s not a chain. I’ve put my dough where my mouth is. Just think about passing a few over, if you had a similar theater you’ve loved and lost in the past.

Thanks,

Denis Medry - Batman Rockabilly Universe

I already posted about Denis MedrysBatman and Spidey Rockabilly universe, I know, but he designed more awesome sketches, and I had to share it !

Je sais que j’ai déjà posté sur les Spidey et Batman Rockabilly de Denis Medry, mais le dessinateur Italien a récemment fait d’autres croquis, que je ne pouvais que vous faire partager !

I love Batman, but never got into the comics that were this style. I was always a TV/Movie fan, and my gf and I did The Joker/Harley Quinn in this style two years ago. I’m glad some other people out there are into a semi realistic semi Sin City version of Batman!

AVATAR 2 Won't Arrive Until 2015 At The Earliest | Comic Book Movie →

daveholmes:

AVATAR is the highest-grossing movie you couldn’t tell me three things about if I gave you all day to think about it.

Directed by James Cameron, blue alien creatures that have sex and connect to alien creatures with the same connection port, and it’s pretty much the CGI version of Dances with Wolves.

Now if you are talking about three certain moments within the film I totally get what you are saying.

That being said, it’s not worth the money to see in theaters… and possibly not worth your time to watch at home.

Holy shit ‘Ted’ was so bad

notschrutefacts:

I honestly laughed 0 times, and cracked a smile once.

If my friends didn’t pay for my ticket I’d be more pissed than I am right now.

Even for free it was a waste of my time.

One time I paid to see S.A.L.T. only so we could sneak into Scott Pilgrim later. By the end of the day I was so glad that S.A.L.T. got my money. I liked Scott Pilgrim, but it wasn’t the better movie.

How Did This Get Made? Speed 2: Cruise Control

In this epic summer sequel, we lament Keanu’s absence, marvel at the lack of deaths when a cruise ship levels a community, and wonder why computer genius William Dafoe has a gun if he never uses it.

I guess someone besides my mom watched Speed 2 this weekend!

Lights Out: Flavorwire returns with the third installment of their “Famous Faces in their Film Debuts” series, which shows us today’s best-known stars in their (extremely awkward) early roles. (Previouslypreviously.)

In retrospect, we probably should have seen today’s crazy Tom Cruise coming.

Kinda cool, but Paul Rudd’s is semi-incorrect. Production on Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers might have ended first(idk?), but Clueless was released two months earlier.
