I just watched Failure to Launch. The movie was okay, and it’s one of the few times I liked Zooey Deschanel. She was a little crazy, and that went well with her usual… Zooeyness. Also, thanks to google image search I found this lovely photo. Wow.
Everything was pretty so-so, but plenty of goofy moments. It felt like a movie that Judd Apatow would do… if he made films for people the watch TBS just for the King of Queens reruns. Funny, but, well you know.
I didn’t even realize it was supposed to be in Baltimore. I must have walked out of the room at the single moment they mentioned that. I just figured it was some nameless imaginary city where they had a lake with dolphins in it. On the IMDB it lists shooting locations around Maryland, Alabama, and Louisiana. I noticed the mascot at the baseball game was for the NOLA Zephyrs, but then he called them the Royals. I’m pretty sure the ocean scenes with the Dolphins were shot in Lake Pontchartrain down in NOLA(Or some other large lake). If you look at the horizon there are barely any shots w/o land in them(multiple angles were used, but all had land in the background). So ridiculous.
